The RHATT Pack Watch Day 215

The RHATT Pack Watch

Day 215

Today is Monday, November 26th, Day 215 of the Rhatt Pack Watch.

Have you ever wondered how companies establish their pricing for some products?  As you might guess, there are a variety of ways to which a company decides how to set the price it asks a consumer to pay.

In the old days, the standard way was to determine how much it cost to produce, distribute and sell a product and ad a reasonable profit.  Simple, straightforward and a fair price everyone could relate to.  Well, pretty soon that wasn’t enough.  You know, my product has something special that I need to charge more for.  As an example, consider a company that undertakes research, invents a new technology and obtains a patent.  In this case, until the patent expires, that company wants to charge more to cover costs associated with its research, which becomes available to its competitors when the patent expires.  Okay, that’s reasonable.

Similarly, companies, that explore for minerals and other natural resources want to recover their exploration costs.  So there are any number of good reasons that impact prices.  And then there are companies which just want to charge more, because they are greedy and they can.  There are many examples of this type of pricing, but one that is commonplace in the White Springs area is where customers, either can’t access or aren’t aware of product pricing in adjacent markets.   Let’s take a look at one being held high by the REd-face Ratt and his “Gang” and taking advantage of White Springs consumers.

Have you checked the price of gas lately?  The price for a barrel of oil is at a low.  Fuel supplies are plentiful and prices nearing a  record low.  Well, that is if you don’t live in Hamilton, Suwannee or Columbia counties.

A quick check with “GasBuddy.com” is quite revealing.  Everywhere to the North, East, South and West of these three counties, the price of gas has dropped like a rock.  In Valdosta, it’s averaging around $2.34/gallon, but can be found for $2.09/gal.  Likewise in Jacksonville, it’s about $2.35/gal but available for $2.16/gal.   In Gainesville, it’s $2.38/gal; In Ocala, it’s $2.21/gal; In Orlando. it’s $2.19/gal, and in Tallahassee, it’s $2.28/gal.  About the lowest in the State is Tampa, where it averages $2.34/gal but is available for $2.12/gal.
So here’s the interesting thing about gasoline and diesel fuels.  Every Fuel Company gets its raw refined fuel (gasoline and diesel) from the same pipeline and/or tanker.  They pay the same price.  They mix their additives into the fuel and sell it to you under their brand name.  It comes from the same place and is sold to you as different.  It’s not!  So why are the prices in White Springs and surrounding areas so high?   It’s simple, someone has convinced a couple of fuel suppliers that White Springs residents can’t or won’t buy fuel from adjacent regions.  That someone turns out to be the Red-face Ratt himself.

The Ratt, his “Out of Town” Lapdog “Just keep paying me” Tebow, who purchases her fuel far from White Springs (she lives nearly 200 miles away), and the “Gang of Three” members Mindless “Splain it to me” Tanja and illegal alien Suck-up “Idi Amin Dada Mini-Me Despot” Lofty concocted a scheme with the Fuel Distributors to keep prices high so they would continue receiving the Local Fuel Option Revenues at the highest rates possible.  They didn’t want the revenues for roads and streets as Statutorily required, but rather to waste, misue, or steal them for their personal benefits.

White Springs, Hamilton, Suwannee and Columbia County residents, if you want fair gas prices flood Tallahassee with complaints against the  Ratt and his tactics.  Gas prices should be $0.40 to $0.50 lower than they are locally.  End the Ratt’s corruption.  Call the FBI office in Jacksonville (904) 248-7000.

Guard every Penny you have from the Lapdog, “Gang of Three” and the Ratt.  It’s day 215 and the Red-face Ratt hasn’t resigned yet.  The Rhatt Pack Watch continues!.
