JASPER — Hamilton County Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Coalition is hosting three community meetings.
The meetings are to allow the community to voice their concerns and potential solutions on issues in the community.
The first meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Jasper Civic Center.
The second meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, at the White Springs Community Center.
The third and final meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, at Jennings City Hall in the council room.
All three meetings will be held from 6-7 p.m.
Hamilton County Superintendent Rex Mitchell said the meeting came about after discussions in how to lessen drug activity in the community.
Each meeting will have five areas of discussion including education and business.
A facilitator will take notes of the concerns discusses.
Participants can also leave anonymous comments.
“This is an opportunity for the community to come out and brainstorm ways to help increase prosperity in Hamilton County and help alleviate some of the issues in the community,” Mitchell said.
