THIS IS A HINT. IT IS NOT ONE OF THESE PEOPLE GIVEN UP BY THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE.

BUT THEY PROMISED ME ACTION ON THE LOFT (LOCAL OPTION FUEL TAX) LIE THAT THE TOWN IS PEDDLING. THE KIND MEMBER OF THE STAFF OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SAID “THEY DID WHAT?” WHEN I TOLD THEM ABOUT WHITE SPRINGS USE OF LOFT FUNDS FOR SALARIES OF OUTSIDE ATTORNEYS AND STAFF. LOOK FOR ACTION FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SOONEST.

THEY WERE ALSO INTERESTED IN THE FACT THAT OUR CPA ADVISED US ON THE FRAUDULENT USE OF LOFT TAX FUNDS WITH HIS STATEMENT THAT IT IS A PRETTY BIG UMBRELLA. OUR SOURCE CHUCKLED AT THAT BIT OF NEWS.
