Mrs. Williams/ McKire’s testimony

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint

On Friday, May 15, 2020, at approximately 1:30 p.m. , Mr. Joe Griffin entered Townhall. Prior to Friday, Mr. Griffin came to the Townhall on Thursday May 14, 2020, to pick up requested info from Mrs. Beverly Brazil.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
Agreed

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint
Mr. Griffin was upset because the content in the package was not what Mr. Griffin expected. Mr. Griffin then demanded that he wanted to see the cancelled copy of the employee’s paycheck.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
After six months of attempting to get a copy of this document I may have been a little exercised. The employee was Mr. Jones, a non employee of the town.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint

Mr. Brazil explained to Mr. Griffin, that what Mr. Griffin wanted, that there is no way she could produce it, because the employee did not receive a check and that the employee’s pay is directed deposit. Mr. Griffin then took the disk out of the envelope and refused the paperwork, left saying his lawyer would contact Town hall.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
It was the same explanation Mrs. Brazil has used it countless times before. Again stated I am looking for the paycheck/ debit authorization sent to the bank that shows the debit of the town’s checking account for Mr. Jones a pay check or debit authorization for the pay period of late October 2019. Otherwise I agree with said statement.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint
When Mr. Griffin returned on Friday, Mr. Griffin asked to speak to Mr. Jones and/or Mrs. Brazil. Mr. Jones came to the counter to speak to Mr. Griffin. Mr. Griffin had copies of cancelled payroll checks stating that this is what he wanted on Thursday, and that he knew that they could provide this to him.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
I did not have cancelled payroll checks. I had a copy of my citizen’s complaint, the third one on this subject. I did not have cancelled payroll checks because if I did my trip to town hall would have been moot. The town is required under Florida Statute 119 to provide the requested documents. After six months they have not provided the requested documents.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint
Mr. Griffin pushed the copies of the check to Mr. Jones through the window. Mr. Jones looked at the copies and stated to Mr. Griffin, that Mrs. Brazil had provided all she could provide to Mr. Griffin on Thursday and that Mr. Griffin took the disk out of the envelope and refused the paperwork shoving it back through the window on Thursday.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
I did push the citizen complaint through the window but not at Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones never looked at the copies because the citizen complaint didn’t have any and it was on the floor behind Mrs. Williams’/McKire’s desk. Mrs. Brazil had not provided the requested document after six months including the day of the event.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint
Mr. Griffin got loud and told Mr. Jones, he knew that they could produce the information he wanted.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
Perhaps true. I don’t think I got loud but it may be so. NOt only could they produce the document I wanted they had a Constitutional and Statutory mandate to do so.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint

Again Mrs. Brazil tried to explain to Mr. Griffin that she had provided all she could provide for him and that the employee did not receive cancelled checks, the employee’s pay is directed deposited.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
The same excuse they have used before. The bank doesn’t send out direct deposits without paperwork. I’ve asked for six months for that paperwork.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint
Mr. Jones then place the papers back through the window to Mr. Griffin. Mr. Griffin got upset, loud and shoved the paper back through the window, hitting the glass and yelling at Mr. Jones, making ugly remarks to Mr. Jones.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
Denied with the exclusion of I made ugly remarks to Mr. Jones/ Denied that I hit the glass. But if I accidentally did hit the glass with my forearm, this is the “noise” of me hitting the plexiglass. No Noise because the plexiglass is right next to the bars and I was shoving the paperwork through the opening and there was no way my forearm pushing the paperwork through would have made a noise or a bang.. My ugly remarks were “Go Lay by your Dish”.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complain
t
Mr. Jones then asked, Mr. Griffin< are you threatening me sir.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
I never threatened Mr. Jones., a question that he didn’t deserve an answer to.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint
Mr. Griffin then told Mr. Jones call the police and have them remove me, like you always do.

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT
:
Denied as to “have them remove me” I asked for the Sheriff’s department. Mr. Jones has never removed me from town hall. The last statement of the Complaint is a falsehood.

Cynethia Williams McKire’s Testimony/Complaint
Mr. Jones had Mrs.Brazil call 911 and request to have an officer sent to Town Hall

JOE GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
Unknown, I was no longer in the building.

Griffin’s concluding remark. Mrs. Williams/ McKire is First Cousin to Mr. Jones thereby violation of the Nepotism rule of the procedures manual. From the manner in which she responded it would appear that she allegedly was coached by Tommie Jones.
