JONES’ TESTIMONY TO WHOMEVER ON THE INCIDENT AT TOWN HALL.

Tommie Jerome Jones false Testimony of what Transpired at Town Hall on May 15th
Jones Testified
:

On Friday May 15, 2020, approximately 12:30 pm at the Town Hall of White Springs, Florida, 10363 Bridge Street, I was asked to assist at the front counter by volunteer Ms. Cynethia Williams. In the lobby was Mr. Joe Griffin with a piece of paper of images of bank statements in his hand babbling about a Public Records Request (119 for cleared checks). He demanded a specific check which was previously prepared for his request on May 14, 2020. It was still in the White envelope on the front desk counter with word refused written on it. Beverly Brazil on May 14, 2020.

GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
First off the time was 1:30 and not 12:30. The paper didn’t have any images of bank statements. Have asked for them but none have been provided thus far. I asked for a series of checks/bank withdrawals for the dates 15 October 2019 until 10 November 2019. I didn’t get a check which was reportedly prepared on 14 May 2020. In fact after 10 requests for the checks/bank withdrawls I have yet to receive any checks or withdrawal statements.

Jones Testified:
After listening to Mr. Griffin’s adamant erratic demand and viewing the paper he held down flat on the front counter. , I informed him the Town had nothing else to give him. The Town had delivered every banking statement within the date range from October to November 15, 2019 as he requested in his 119 request.

GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
The only demand I made was in accordance with the Florida Constitution and Florida Statute 119, the public records law. I’m entitled to Public Documents and I didn’t get them. The town definitely had more to give me but refuses, for 6 months now, to do so. His statement about giving me the check/bank withdrawal statements is an absolute lie and, if this goes to court I will demand them as evidence. He never viewed the documents he said I had because they were upside down on the counter.

Jones Testified:
As I turned and walked back towards the manager’s office, I heard something crash violently to the office floor and a loud banging on the plexiglass covering the security bars across the length of the counter. I looked back and saw Mr. Griffin forcefully hitting the plexiglass with the look of rage in his eyes screaming “I want it now” His body was gyrating as he turned to the left and looked at the lobby floor.

GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
First of all, Jones never walked towards the manager’s office. Instead, he stood to the left front of me the entire time. The loud violently crashing object to the floor was 7 pieces of paper stapled together. I never hit the plexiglass, that is a bold face lie and he has no support for that statement except by his First Cousin Mrs, Williams (McKire). NO fingerprints or broken plexiglass. I have palsy and I often shake when other people are lying to me or about me. I apparently did say I wanted my requested documents now but it is my right to have them. I didn’t have rage in my eyes but even if I did no laws were broken. The lying Mr.. Jones must know about rage with all the lies he has told about me while he called me a racist when I made a demand that he undergo a background check in accordance with the Town Charter and the demand I have made that he be a town employee.

Jones Testified:
I walked up to the counter and asked Mr. Griffin “Are you threatening me?” I asked him with conviction twice. He became silent. He replied “Tommie, go back to your dish” whatever that means.

GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
He never asked whether I was threatening him. It would be hard to do behind steel bars and a plexiglass shield. I did say to him to “go lay by your dish” which is how I respond to liars and frauds.

Jones Testified:
I asked Ms. Williams “Did you see that”? She replied yes. Mrs. Brazil was in the Town Clerk’s office. I turned to her asked the same question. I asked Ms. Williams. She also replied “Yes”. Mrs. Brazil left the Clerk’s office and approached the front counter and stood besides me. I asked Mrs. Brazil to call Chief Tracy. Chief Tracy informed Mrs. Brazil to place a 911 call on this incident. As Mr. Griffin retreated to his car parked in front of Town Hall. She did place the call. Chief Tracy and Lieutenant Marsh arrived and approached Mr. Griffin.

GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
See What? Mr. Jones doesn’t say. I am the one who called for the Sheriff to be summoned, not Mr. Jones. I don’t know about anybody calling 911 as I had left the building. I didn’t retreat anywhere. I calmly walked to my car to await the Sheriff’s Deputy. LT. Marsh did not approach me I approached him when he arrived. I never talked to Chief Rodequenz. Chief Rodriquenz arrived a few minutes after Lt. Marsh but Remained outside of her vehicle and did not approach the Lt. or myself.. I told Lt March what had transpired. I had arrived to tell Mr. Jones that the document I got the day before did not answer my request. Then he told me that was the paperwork I was going to get. I asked him to call the Sheriff to witness the violation of Florida Statute 119. I complained and pushed the papers that I brought which I had received Thursday to the floor. Mr. Jones then asked Ms. Williams and Beverly Brazil whether they had seen me try to hit him in the head. They both responded “Yes” but there is no way I could not get my hand through the open area to ever do such a thing, nor did I even try. All I did was shove the paperwork through and I cannot believe Beverly Brazil and Ms. Williams lied about such a thing. Ms. Brazil arrived by his side and said I wasn’t going to get any more documents. I told Officer Marsh about Tommie Jones lying that I was attempting to hit him in the head when it is not possible with bars and plexiglass so apparently realizing that, the three witnesses decided to start a new story about my hitting the plexiglass which I did not. Lt. Marsh then told me to file a suit against the town for 119 violations. I left town hall and thought little of the incident until I became aware that a complaint had been issued. I welcome further action on this matter. It should be noted that Lt. Marsh set up an appointment with me to take my statement and didn’t show up.

Jones Testified:

After a conversation with the Chief and Lieutenant Mr. Griffin was allowed to leave the property.

GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
I left the property BEFORE any conversion with Mr. Jones, Mrs. Williams (McKire) and Mrs. Brazil. I only had a conversation with Lt. Marsh and unfortunately the Lt. did not question Mr. Jones as to whether Jones stated I was trying to hit him in the head which was a virtual impossibility. I only threw papers and they would not have made a bang and I did not hear a bang so all three of these witnesses or complainants were fabricating a story for their benefit to stop me from ordering 119’s obviously.

Jones Testified:
I believe Mr. Griffin committed attempted assault with the intention to intimidate or provoke.

GRIFFIN’S STATEMENT:
It was my intention to get my requested documents which Mr. Jones has denied me for six months including three citizen complaints on the matter. He obviously got the charge from either Lt. Marsh or Chief Rodriquenz
