THINGS CAN’T BE THAT BAD AT TOWN HALL, NO ROOM FOR SKILLED VOLUNTEERS.

Karin is a skilled business manager specializing in cleaning up somebody’s messes. When we realized that Tommie was in over his head and needed help straightening out the mess created by Pam and Stacy she volunteered first to Tommie at a Council meeting and then to Helen with a telephone call she got the following responses. Nothing from Tommie and a statement from Helen that she couldn’t get three votes to have Karin have access to town records and to bring her considerable experience to help the town.

Karin made her offer to help the town clean up its administrative and financial problems. It should come as no surprise that she was denied this offer from the Town Consultant/Manager and from the Mayor. Karin is at least as capable as Beverly and would assist Beverly in her efforts to straighten out the mess that the town Council allowed Stacy and Pam to make. No good deed goes unpunished in White Springs.

But no, she is not qualified to assist either the Town or Tommie in their and his efforts to clean up the town’s administrative and financial pile of crap. Maybe they, the Council and the Town Consultant know more than to chance the opportunity for us to get a look at how big a mess the Council has created by its lack of supervision over Stacy and Pam. I can think of no other reason for denying a highly qualified Business Administrator to assist the town in its extreme hour of need. Shame on all of you.

  1. Gosh Joe, You and Karin have been at war with the Town since you moved here. You have inundated them with 119 request, sued the Town a couple of times, called past and present Town Managers, Town Council Members and some employees virtually every derogatory name in the book, been thrown out of countless Town meetings, have filed countless complaints with both the Town and the State and you are surprised they don’t want to have you or Karin
    volunteer at Town Hall.

    1. You act like that working for free for the town would be a blessing for Karin and I. What a joke. But since we have NO PROBLEMS there is no reason to get exercised about solving any problems. Would we, Karin and I, benefit from cleaning up Stacy’s pile of crap or figuring out Pam’s bookkeeping fiasco. NOT hardly. But the town needs Karin just like it needs Beverly. Lord knows Tommie is not up to the task by himself or a temporary Town Clerk, we know she is a clerk cause that is what the Charter calls her. But what the hell. The Charter means nothing, ask Helen.
