In accordance with the Jasper News, the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners hired Jonathan Law to be the County’s Code Enforcer.
At its Nov. 19 meeting, the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners approved hiring Jonathan Law to serve in that role. Law is also the county’s Veterans Service Officer.
White Springs Part-time Code enforcement officer Shonda Werts also applied for the position.
Per the Jasper News by Reporter Kara M. Compo,The board followed the selection committee’s recommendation, approving Law by a 3-1 vote with District 2 Commissioner Josh Smith dissenting due to his lack of experience with code enforcement.
Initially the County Code Enforcement Officer was to handle all the Municipalities but because of White Springs, No Municipalities will be covered. Joe received a call and will write an article on this.
