Water Management is the most important Economic Development Matter

Councilman Tom Moore reported on the Economic Development Committee for which Tommie Jones has been asked to head once an application is turned in.  At the last meeting on June 6th  Glen Hunter, the Director of Economic Development in Hamilton County spoke.  He advised those attending that the most important Economic Development in Hamilton County is its Water Management and thus managing water for our town.

He indicated that the development on County Road 136 and Interstate 75 will be a great thing for White Springs and mentioned that White Springs should work with and partner with Hamilton County.  We should also work with our relationships with the County regarding grants.  At the Next Hamilton County Meeting on the 18th of June the County will discuss Code enforcement.
