An option for the School District with a Certificate only from the Town adding the District as an A.I.

This is what the Hamilton County School District should have been provided under the Town’s FMIT policy since the Town wishes to undertake ALL LIABILITY for the Strong Foundation’s  liability arising out of the Maintenance and use of the South Hamilton Elementary by the Strong Foundation and Clarence Strong Individually regarding the Basketball Camps to be held June 10-14, 2019 and July 8-12 2019 at South Hamilton Elementary School Gym located at 16693 Spring Street, White Springs FL 43096 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Hosted by Clarence Strong with the II Strong Foundation..

Instead of just a “Re” and listing the Hamilton County School Board as a Certificate Holder, the Certificate should list the Hamilton County School District for ALL liability  arising out of the Maintenance and use of the South Hamilton Elementary by the Strong Foundation and Clarence Strong Individually regarding the Basketball Camps to be held June 10-14, 2019 and July 8-12 2019 at South Hamilton Elementary School Gym located at 16693 Spring Street, White Springs FL 43096 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Hosted by Clarence Strong with the II Strong Foundation..

For now Hamilton County School Board, not the Hamilton County School District is only listed as a Certificate holder with the description of liability listed as:

The limit of liability is $200,000 Bodily Injury and/or Property Damage per person or $300,000 Bodily Injury and/or Property Damage per occurrence.  These specific limits of liability are increased to $300,000 for General Liability (combined single limit) per occurrence, solely for any liabiity resulting from entity of a claims bill pursuant to Section 768 (5) Florida Statutes or liability/settlement for which no claims bill has been filed or liability imposed pursuant to Federal Law or activities outside the State of Florida.

  1. I would not have gone through all of this insurance if it had not been for Johnny Bullard, the Chairman of the Hamilton County School Board stipulating the School District MUST BE RID OF ITS LIABILITIES. Meaning they are attempting to sell their vacant school properties or have them leased to not only lower the Boards liability but the insurance premiums as well. I am all for reasonable insurance for the Town because we do not have money but unfortunately if the District wants to lower their liability for use of their properties, then the Certificate adding the District as an additional insured for the maintenance and use of SHE is a possibility at probably a minimal cost or it would be picked up at audit.
