Not an apprentice and not working that long, he’s an “Electrician” and a “Plumber”

I have no idea what Ray Vaughn’s new employee is considered..Public Works or Road/Streets as Ray Vaughn was listed as the latter in the Budget.  But William A. Polbos lists himself as a “Maintenance Tech, graduating from Columbia High School.  He knows how to drive, and can run and operate equipment including electric, plumbing and maintenance.  Another person who learned his trade not as an apprentice Electrician or Plumber but by osmosis.  My hats off to Stacy Tebo and Rhett Bullard for hiring such brilliant people to work for White Springs.

But in Mr. Polbo’s favor, he did test soil samples for a drilling rig crew from June 2015 to September 2016 for Old South Drilling.  Prior to that he worked for  Graham Electric Company where he states he was an electrician repairing residential and commercial electrical systems at $14.00 an hour from January 2014 to May 2015.

Mr. Polbo’s last job before starting work with the Town of White Sprin gs on November 5, 2018 was with Ferguson Cabling where he was a Lead Supervisor at $20.00 an hour, working 60 hour weeks where he made sure the job was completed.

I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t dare call myself an Electrician for Residential and Commercial with working for just not even a year and one half.   And to be allowed to repair residential and commercial electric systems would be quite a feat but I don’t know who Graham Electric is but if they have novices doing electrical (and I don’t care if his daddy taught him) but knowing that they would not be a company I would hire.

Good work Rhett and Stacy.  It is so nice  that you would hire someone from Lake City when there are so many nice young men here in Town that could have possibly handled the job as well, but they probably would have been honest and not said that they could be electricians or plumbers.
