We are not considering the right occupancies to bring money to those who need or enjoy being their own entrepreneur.

The South Hamilton Elementary School occupancies do not make alot of sense to me.  Flea Markets and Swap Meet items for sale by the people of our town make sense.  A large area where people can look at items, whether woodworking like Wayne Stormant makes; to jams and jellies, to baked goods, to hand made canes to other items whether made or purchased for sale.  It would bring people into town.  Here is my article on this.  Perhaps even an outside Farmers Market; with a coffee shop inside etc.  Old Books for sale, quilts crochet items, etc.  Maybe even the food trailer could be brought in with chairs and umbrellas making it festive.

That would bring in money and for those who cannot work, some additional income from hobbies, including art.

It’s time to bring a Swap Meet, Farmers Market and Flea Market to White Springs

  1. Excellent idea Karin. But sadly it would cost a couple of million to just bring the building up to code. Then they would have to renovate it further to accommodate their plan. Where is all of that money going to come from?
