JASPER — Hamilton County’s legislative delegation will still hold its annual hearing next week.
It will just be a few hours earlier Thursday.
The hearing is now set for 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hamilton County Courthouse in the county commission board room, which is located at 207 NE 1st St.
The hearing had previously been scheduled for 5 p.m.
The county’s legislative delegation includes Sen. Bill Montford (D-Tallahassee), the chairman of the delegation, and Rep. Chuck Brannan (R-Macclenny).
The delegation holds a public hearing each year prior to the start of the session to provide an opportunity for local residents, government officials and other interested parties to present legislative proposals, make funding requests or express opinions on state issues.
For additional information about the hearing or to be placed on the hearing’s agenda, contact Sen. Montford’s office at 850-487-5003 or email his staff at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WE’RE. KARIN AND I, ARE GOING TO ASK ABOUT THE LOCAL OPTION FUEL TAX AGAIN. WE ASKED ABOUT IT LAST YEAR AND NOTHING HAPPENED, TYPICAL FLORIDA POLITICS.
Joe, personally I would like to ask him Why he lied to us when it was evident the law was broken….but that he need not do anything with the Town because by reason of what the Revenue Department has told us, these errors and omissions do not fall on the Town but on the reliance of a CPA who provided misinformation not only verbally but in writing.
