White Springs power is provided for by the Florida Home Rule but what do we do about it? Only Special people make the rules

The most precious powers a city in Florida has are its Home Rule powers. The ability to establish its form of government through its charter, and to then enact ordinances, codes, plans and resolutions without prior state approval is a tremendous authority.

Now White Springs wishes to change the Charter and people will have to determine what these changes are because the changes will be up for a vote.

White Springs does not follow its charter when it is not convenient for the officials and we have no plans.  We have resolutions and ordinances, however, but who follows them and the recent resolution restricts our freedom of Speech which was drafted by Mayor Lofton
