If Lofton has a Military Injury, and honorable discharge, why does he not go to the VA???

You will recall at the June Meeting, Spencer Lofton began standing and walking around the council room  citing a back injury from his military career.  I would not have again questioned his military service except for the fact that he was never stationed abroad nor was he in infantry or any other type of position, including being an ROTC instructor, which would have injured his back.   Furthermore as others stated, while he was Mayor, he never once got up from his seat and stood, nor did he have the same excuse where he would walk around the front of the council room during the meeting.

But there is something else which is strange.  He pointed out Dominique Greene as his “Nurse” and told everyone that the young lady could verify he had this difficulty.  If he was in the Military for all of those years and had an Honorable Military  discharge why has he not seen a Neurologist at the VA whether in Lake City or Gainesville, which would follow with a Military injury.
Calling Dominique Greene a “Nurse” also was not quite right since she is a “Doctor” of Nursing Practice (DNP) as well as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is a nurse who has a master’s, post-master’s certificate, or practice-focused doctor of nursing practice degree in one of four specific roles.

Dr. Dominique Greene works with Dr. Lucas Beerepoot who is a neurologist in Gainesville, Florida affiliated with Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and UF Health Shands Hospital..  He is also  affiliated with Lake City Medical Center. Dr.Beerespoot received his  medical degree from University of Amsterdam Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice between 11-20 years.

Neurologists diagnose and treat disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, muscles, and the involuntary nervous system that controls the heart, lungs and other organs. They treat headaches, stroke, dementia, seizures, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders and neuromuscular diseases.   So whatever Spencer Lofton has, if it was because of his time in the Military, I ask why the Veterans Administration is not the Hospital assisting him.  Only if one of their Neurologists is unable to pinpoint a problem do they send a patient to an outside Neurologist, thanks to President Donald Trump.

Can Spencer ever tell the truth?   Why not the VA and Why when he never complained or got up at meetings when he was Mayor, is he doing so now?  Is he attempting to get sympathy?  There are so many former Military in White Springs but I have never heard such bragging and complaints as those from Lofton.
