The RHATT Pack Watch
Today is Friday, January 4th, Day 254 of the Rhatt Pack Watch.
Welcome to White Springs, Florida’s Dirty Little Secret/ White Springs quite possibly is the Worst Municipality for residents in the history of the State of Florida. Really! Is this what every Municipality does for its residents? Not according to the Florida Governor’s Office where there are 413 incorporated Municipalities in Florida – 283 Cities – 100 Towns and 21 Villages.
Also, according to the Governor’s Office, not one of the other 412 Cities, Towns or Villages, treat their residents with as much disdain as White Springs where the Red-Face Ratt, his “Gang of Three” members Mindless “Splain it to me” Vice Mayor Tanja and illegal alien Suck-up “Mini-Me Despot Mayor Lofty and the “Out of Towner” Lapdog “Just keep paying me” Tebow do. Actually, each of the other 412 incorporated Municipalities works hard to deliver services and products to improve the lives of their residents and guests. They all deliver a full spectrum of infrastructure like Police, Fire Protection, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Roads and Streets, etc., but they also address additional residents’ needs.
For instance, take a look at Altha, a Town with a population of nearly 550. Education was very important to its residents. So Altha’s Council figured out how to provide in-community K-12 education for its children. Altha, one of the last 20 Municipal school systems in the State consistently receives an “A” grade.
Or how about Branford, a Town of about 750 just down the road from White Springs. Their residents wanted a sports complex. The Council set aside a piece of property, built an outdoor picnic area, an indoor community center, clean restrooms and a whole host of sports complexes.
Or Take the Town of Juniper Island, a coastal community of about 850. Back in 1982, its residents told the Town Administration, they wanted the Town’s coastline maintained and protected. Since this required coordination with the State, their officials worked for the enactment of Florida Statute, Chapter 161 – Beach and Shore Preservation Administrative Code. Today, as in 1982, Juniper Island maintains its beaches. In fact every elected official or community employee in every Ciuty, Town or Village, whether small or large, in the north or south, the east or west, except the Town of White Springs, works to meet every essential infrastructure activity and all of its educational, recreational , cultural and other needs.
If 412 Florida Municipalities have robust infrastructures and a host of other community amenities, what is it that White Springs elected officials, employees and contractors provide? It certainly isn’t a robust Municipal Infrastructure. Rather, the Ratt, his “Gang” and the Lapdog have done precisely the opposite. They worked to degrade and destroy every item of White Springs’ infrastructure, the Police Department, the Fire Department, the Town’s streets and roads, the Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities and more.
In addition, the meager municipal amenities that the Town has managed to beg and borrow to fund are in deplorable condition. For instance at the Willie Guy Turner Park, kids are exposed to the Ratt’s dealer’s drug paraphernalia. Or that the Town lacks adequate public restroms and the ones it does have are kept locked, except for the Ogburn ball-field. The restrooms at the ball-field are not fit for human use. The Ratt, the “Gang of Three” and the Lapdog have known this for years, but do nothing to resolve this problem. After all, it costs money to fix, clean and service them. If they did that there would be less money for the Ratt and the Lapdog to embezzle or just plain steal. And then there’s the anti-drug policies in 412 other communities. They are working hard to eliminate drugs and the drug dealers. But in White Springs, the Ratt, on the other hand, wants a dealer on every street corner, including where there are kids.
The difference between White Springs and all other Florida Municipalities is like night and day. White Springs is in the dark. You can change it today. But that means you need to become involved in the governance of this Town. Attend meetings. Learn about the challenges facing White Springs. Start identifying Candidates for Town Council who understand the issues, who are caring, honest, competent and who are willing to work hard to improve White Springs and your life. Stand up and inculcate these virtues in every Candidate. Help by reporting and reducing crime and corruption in Town Hall and on Town Streets. Work with and encourage others to work with the FBI office in Jacksonville (904) 248-7000.
Work to rebuild White Springs without the Ratt. It’s Day 254 and the Red-face Ratt hasn’t resigned yet. The Rhatt Pack Watch continues!
