I just would like to point out that such things do take time.

BULLSHIT. WE COULD FIX MOST OF THE PROBLEMS IN LESS THAN A MONTH IF WE WERE JUST WILLING T O “LET THE CHIPS FALL WHERE THEY FALL. BUT NO HELEN WANTS TO MAKE CERTAIN HER RICE BOWL, AND IT IS HER RICE BOWL, DOESN’T GET DAMAGED. A MONTH “ME” AND NO MORE I PROMISE YOU.
Not only have the council members not done certain things, but other than Tom Moore and Helen Miller in some cases, they have not even fought for what is right. These items never come up until there is a crisis and now, with the fact that it is common practice for White Springs to not follow their own charter, their own ordinances, or the laws in which they have taken an oath to obey, a crisis has begun. We always knew Pam Tomlinson did not have the experience and most of the time lied about everything and everyone except those she liked. Helen Miller brought this up to Stacy Tebo when Stacy started as our Town Manager, but did anyone handle the problem? No! And now the CPA checking our books is finding such things as double accounts made up when Pam forgot which account she started and God knows what else. The Fire Department problem at least was fought for and against Stith and Greene, but when Tebo was told that we needed our former firefighters back she brought in someone else, who should have been told by the council that it is not the policy the council desired but we waited until Tebo left. We had enough evidence to have shut Tebo down but we did not. It tires me that nothing ever gets done and we keep having the same problems, Joe has said for 20 years but I know that in my nine years, nothing is remedied and that is on the Council.
Now every ordinance will have to be revised stipulating that from this day forward, the rules stated therein shall be complied with and that there shall be no exceptions. Furthermore, the charter changes which Attorney Hatton did on behalf of the Committee were ambiguous, so much that they could not be understood and furthermore changes need to be made even relating to leave that instead of allowing the Supervisor (Town Manager) to extend such leave, that such extension shall be brought forth to the council to make the final decision as to the time of the extension. There is so much in the charter that required change and the Council can give accolades to the committee, but technically I shall not praise them for a good job because so much needs to be addressed for the next election.
