I HAD A NICE CONVERSATION WITH HELEN TODAY,

Part of the conversation had to do with the Citizen’s Complaint I filed at the January meeting on actions by our town attorney that led directly to Tommie not being an employee of the town but a “consultant”. The complaint is available via 119 request of the town. It will cost you about a buck and a half.

Using the Ethics Committee’s ruling I am entitled to have exactly the same procedures used by the town in other Citizen Complaint cases, to with Helen Miller and Anita Rivers. It is now our ( town’s) “process” to hire an outside attorney for citizen complaints when the subject of the complaint is a town official. We’ve done it in the past, and we will do it in this case as well. After all Rhett said if the Ethics Committee said something then it must be legally binding on the town in response to Spencer’s Ethics Complaint I filed on Spencer. It is our “procedure” to trust the Ethics Board and we will do it in this case as well as others. See Karin’s story on the Blog. Town Procedures will be binding on the town even if they were dumb and stupid, or even if they violate a Municipal Ordinance or the Town Charter.

OR THE TOWN CAN GIVE UP THE CHARADE AND IDENTIFY TOMMIE AS A TOWN EMPLOYEE. THIS WOULD  INCLUDING HIS NEED TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION (TRUTHFULLY WHICH I DON’T BELIEVE HE CAN DO), TAKE A DRUG TEST AND UNDERGO A BACKGROUND, A FULL BACKGROUND, CHECK FROM HIS FORMER EMPLOYERS AND ANY CLERK OF THE COURT WHERE HE LIVED INCLUDING Miami DADE AND WEST PALM BEACH AND FDLE AND BE LABELED AS A TOWN EMPLOYEE. CAN THE TRUTH BE SO DIFFICULT TO FACE? IF THE TOWN WILL JUST GIVE UP THE CHARADE I’LL PULL MY CITIZEN’S COMPLAINT. OTHERWISE WE HIRE AN ATTORNEY AND A COURT REPORTER,  JUST LIKE WE DID BEFORE..
